Domestic
violence can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is
used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner.
Abuse is
physical, sexual, emotional, economic or psychological actions or threats of
actions that influence another person. This includes any behaviors that
frighten, intimidate, terrorize, manipulate, hurt, humiliate, blame, inure or
wound someone.
Education
& Empowerment
Crisis
and trauma intervention counseling (individual/group) is provided to victims
and or their children who requires support without shelter placement.
Individuals
will be equipped through skill training/education, financial counseling,
employment assistance, and continuous case management support to facilitate
personal growth and stability.
Financial
education course uses the Moving Ahead Through Financial Management/Financial
Empowerment Curriculum provided through The Allstate Foundation.
